Tagalder's Topaz
Date of Birth - November 6, 2010
Team Position - Team for now, but has leadership potential
Height - 23"
Weight - about 45 lbs.
CERF -
Intact female
Agouti and white - brown eyes
Topaz, or "Spaz Dog" or "Itma" is a unique dog. She's very intelligent and personable and also incredibly socially astute. She wasn't in the kennel long before she figured out the pecking order and started trying to work her way up!
A casual observer might think she is particularly attached to me. Don't let her fool you, she's just sucking up! But she is very sweet and affectionate, and loves to cuddle. One of her favorite spots in the house is perched on my shoulders. She is definitely quite full of herself.
Topaz as a 15 month old pup made my main team the winter of 2011-12. I kept thinking I would wear her out, but when we would come back from a run, she'd start barking and carrying on like she hadn't run at all. I have yet to wear this dog out. She will run out in front, so there will be some leader training going on next season. Her only liability is her fuzzy feet - I have to bootie her for even the shortest runs. But it's definitely worth it for this little girl Stay tuned for more from her!
